Mercedes EQV connectivity issues
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Mercedes EQV owner experienced connectivity issues with their smartphone and the vehicle's infotainment system, with an unclear error detected during a diagnostic scan. Despite attempts to resolve the issue by restarting the system and checking Bluetooth settings, the problem persisted. A suggestion was made to delete and re-establish the phone pairing, which did not clear the error. Ultimately, a Mercedes-Benz technician identified the issue as an incorrect pairing that required communication module reinitialization, successfully restoring connectivity and clearing the error memory.

Could you explain the steps you took to delete and re-establish the pairing? Did you have any errors during the process, or notice anything unusual with the infotainment system before or after fixing the connection? Did the error in the memory go away after resolving the phone connection?

I think I just used the settings menu. The error stayed even after re-pairing. Given the error memory and the phone issue, a Mercedes-Benz technician might be best. They can diagnose any software or hardware problems.

I consulted a technician, and the problem was an incorrect pairing, requiring communication module reinitialization. The cost was 45€. Smartphone connectivity is restored, and the error memory is clear. Your initial advice helped speed up the diagnosis. Thanks again.

I have a similar EQV and had a comparable issue. The phone connection problem could be a communication module glitch. Have you tried deleting the pairing from both your phone and the car, then reconnecting?
