Mercedes EQV Massage Seat Issue

Has anyone had issues with the massage seat in their 2020 Mercedes EQV electric The vehicle has 216635 km on it The massage setting won't activate and a diagnostic shows an error code related to the seat Is it likely a cable or plug issue, or could it be the seat motor?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Mercedes EQV owner experienced an issue with the massage seat not activating, accompanied by an error code related to the seat. Initial suggestions included checking the fuse, which was found to be intact. The problem was isolated to the driver's seat, leading to speculation about a possible cable or plug defect. A visit to a Mercedes-Benz shop confirmed a defective plug connection, which was repaired, resolving the issue.

Massage seat issues aren't unheard of in high-end vehicles. When you say the massage setting can't be activated, does the switch itself not respond, or does it light up but not start the massage Have you checked the fuses A blown fuse could be the problem before you look at cables or the motor. Is the issue on both front seats, or just one This could help narrow it down.

The switch doesn't light up at all. I'll check the fuses right away. The problem is only on the driver's seat. If the fuse is fine, should I suspect the control module, or is a cable defect more likely?

Since the switch isn't lighting up and it's only one seat, a fuse is the first thing to check. If the fuse is good, it probably is a connection issue or the switch itself. A control module issue is possible, but a bad cable or connector is more common. Given the error code, the cable is even more likely. I'd still suggest a qualified workshop; their tools and experience could save time and prevent more problems. I'm not sure if trying to access and fix the cable yourself is a good idea.

I checked the fuse and it was fine. I took it to a Mercedes-Benz shop. They found a defective plug connection, like I thought. The repair was 95€, including parts and labor. The massage seat is working now.
