Mercedes G Klasse climate control issues

Good questions Fuses seem okay, I checked the diagrams and tested them There's no real pattern to the failure, it seems random The air conditioning never works, and the heat is always weak When you say communication problem, what exactly do you mean Is there a way to test that without specialized tools Could a bad temperature sensor really disable the entire system?

By communication issue, I mean the control panel sends signals to the HVAC system to adjust temperature, fan speed, etc If those signals aren't getting through, the system won't work right Honestly, testing that kind of thing gets pretty technical, needing diagnostic tools to read data streams A bad temperature sensor could definitely mess things up, but usually that would just affect the temperature accuracy, not shut down the whole system Given it affects both heating and air conditioning, and you are getting an error code, I'm leaning towards something more central, like the control panel or its wiring Maybe getting a proper diagnostic scan is the way to go here

I appreciate the input I took it to a workshop, and they found a broken wire going to the control panel, just like the error message indicated They repaired it, cleared the code, and now the air conditioning and heating are working perfectly again The 95€ estimate was spot on I should have trusted the initial diagnosis Thanks again for your time

That's a tricky one I've heard of similar issues with the G Klasse It could be more than just a simple plug The control panel itself might be failing Or maybe it's a communication problem between the control panel and the HVAC system computer Have you checked the fuses related to the climate control and blower motor Sometimes it's the simplest things that get overlooked Also, is there any pattern, like does it happen more when it's cold or hot outside Or after you've been driving for a while?
