Good idea on the fuel pump relay I'll check it I have a basic OBD2 scanner, but it's only giving me the generic 'engine fault' code I haven't checked voltage during cranking, but the battery seems strong Where did you find your electrical issue

My problem was corroded grounding straps While your OBD2 reader isn't providing detailed data, there is an 'engine fault' code Given the vehicle's age and mileage, I advise against prolonged self-diagnosis Further work without precise diagnostics could worsen the problem Engage a Mercedes-Benz workshop with the right diagnostic tools for an evaluation

Thanks for the advice The battery connections were the problem I cleaned and tightened them, and it started Cost 155€ at the local garage I appreciate the help

I had a similar situation with my Mercedes The symptoms suggest a potential electrical issue impacting the engine control unit Have you checked the fuel pump relay Are there any voltage readings at the battery terminals during cranking A fluctuating voltage could prevent ignition Do you have a diagnostic tool to read fault codes
