Mercedes G Klasse Diesel Preheating Lamp Issue

My 2007 Mercedes G Klasse diesel is acting up The preheating lamp won't turn off, and there's an error in the memory The engine light is also on It feels like a glow plug failure, especially with hard cold starts and occasional engine misfires Has anyone else experienced this Before I spend 440€ at the shop, I wanted to ask here

I have a G Klasse as well I experienced a similar issue some time ago Was the engine light illuminated Also, did you notice any change in fuel consumption

Yes, the engine light's been on since the preheating lamp went crazy Fuel consumption seems normal, though I haven't checked exactly Did you end up with glow plug issues as well Was it a single plug or a full set

Thanks for the confirmation I took it to the shop, and you were spot on Glow plug number 3 was the problem I replaced it, and the engine light is gone, the preheating lamp is normal, and cold starts are back to normal It cost 440€, but at least it's running well again
