Mercedes G Klasse Sunroof Issues After Coding

My 2019 Mercedes G Klasse diesel is having sunroof issues at 287247 km The sunblind is stuck and the convertible top is unresponsive I suspect recent coding adjustments are the cause Has anyone seen a similar sunroof not initialized error and what steps resolved it

That sounds difficult I had a similar issue with my BMW 3 series The sunroof mechanism went haywire after software changes The sunroof would only open partially Was your coding related to the sunroof or something else

The coding was for auxiliary lighting and a minor ECU adjustment It's the only recent change You mentioned software being the problem for your BMW Did a sunroof reset work or was more involved work needed

I tried an online sunroof reset but it failed I took it to a workshop They said the sunroof control module software was corrupted and they re-flashed it Get it checked before dismantling anything

Thanks for the advice A workshop diagnosed it The sunroof control module needed re-initialization after coding changes It cost 75€ and now everything works The sunblind retracts and the convertible top is fine
