Hey guys, I'm really at a loss right now with my 2016 Mercedes GLA class and 162011 km mileage. Recently, the car has been exhibiting all sorts of strange quirks: black smoke when accelerating, the engine light comes on, the engine simply stalls, long cold start times, unsteady engine running, my fuel consumption is suddenly higher and sometimes it won't start at all. I suspect it could be the cold start injector. Have you had similar problems? What were your experiences with the repair in the workshop? I'd be grateful for any tips, especially as my last visit to the garage was quite a horror trip.

Hey, I had a similar problem with my 2013 Mercedes CLA Class, where the engine control unit was defective. Your symptoms sound very similar. Black smoke, engine light, increased fuel consumption - I know it all too well. I went to the garage at the time and they told me that it was a serious problem because the engine control unit is the electronic control unit of the vehicle. It controls fuel injection, ignition timing, turbocharging, exhaust aftertreatment and many other important functions. Defects can lead to serious engine and transmission damage if it is not repaired in time. So I would recommend that you take it to the garage as soon as possible and have it checked.

Hey, sure, no problem. Well, I had to dig deep into my pockets to repair the engine control unit. It cost me €1000. But believe me, it was worth every penny. Since the visit to the mechanic, the cold start injection valve has also been fixed. And I can honestly say that I haven't had any further problems with the car since then.
