Exhaust leak, huh? I haven't noticed any hissing or smells, but I'll definitely check. Where exactly should I be looking for this leak? Any specific spots that are common on these GLAs? Also fuel consumption seems normal. And error code does not mention exhaust system.

The leak could be anywhere from the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter. If you can't find it yourself, I would advise against extensive DIY. It's best to take it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. They can use a smoke tester to find even small leaks.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to the workshop and you were right, it was an exhaust leak. They replaced a section of the exhaust and the uneven running is gone. Cost me 265€. Appreciate the help.

I also own a Mercedes GLA, although not a hybrid. I had similar symptoms – rough running and the check engine light. Turned out I had a leak in my exhaust system. Check for hissing sounds, especially when the engine is cold. Have you noticed any change in fuel consumption, or maybe a smell of exhaust fumes inside the cabin?
