Mercedes GLA Hybrid High Voltage System Error
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Mercedes GLA Hybrid is experiencing a high-voltage system error, causing the engine to sometimes shut off or lose power. The issue may stem from a defective or discharged battery, an inverter problem, or faulty wiring. A similar problem in another Mercedes model was resolved by addressing an inverter issue, but in this case, the workshop identified and repaired a defective high-voltage battery.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the quick response. When you had the inverter issue, did it also cause the engine to shut off completely? Were there any other warning signs besides the battery light?

Yeah, it totally shut down on me a couple of times. Super annoying. No other lights that I remember. I ended up taking it to the workshop, and they sorted it. I recommend you do the same.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's reassuring to know I'm not alone. I took it to the workshop, and it was a defective high-voltage battery. The repair cost me 290€. I appreciate the help.

That sounds rough. I had a similar EV problem with my Mercedes C-Class. It turned out to be an inverter issue. I'd check the battery connections and maybe get the battery tested. Is the battery light on?
