Mercedes GLA Vehicle Software Glitch
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mercedes GLA is experiencing a vehicle software glitch, causing errors, electrical issues, and a non-functional navigation system. The problem is suspected to be a control unit programming issue, possibly due to a software bug. A software revision by a professional workshop is suggested as a solution to resolve these issues.

They mentioned 'implausible programming' of the control unit, so it could be. Is that the same as a software revision? Did it fix all the weird electrical problems you had?

Yeah, that's probably it. The 'implausible programming' is code for 'Vehicle software is messed up'. A software revision should sort it out. But honestly, it's best to let the workshop handle it. Messing with the control unit yourself can brick the whole thing. I had them do mine and it sorted out all the issues.

Thanks for the input. I'll get the software revision done at the workshop. Hopefully, that'll take care of it. Appreciate the advice.

Sounds familiar! I had something like that with my GLA. Basically, the whole system went haywire. It's like your car's brain got scrambled eggs for breakfast. Did they mention anything about a software revision for the control unit?
