Mercedes GLC diesel engine issue resolved
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Mercedes GLC diesel with 107,004 km was experiencing engine issues, including a check engine light, rough running, stalling, and jerking during acceleration. The initial suspicion was a fuel delivery problem, possibly related to the fuel injector or a defective fuel pressure sensor cable or plug connection. After consulting with others who had similar issues, it was confirmed through a diagnostic scan at a workshop that the problem was indeed a defective fuel pressure sensor cable connection, which was then repaired.

Thank you for your response. When you say 'similar issue', was it exactly the same symptoms? And if so, how was it resolved? Was it also a faulty fuel pressure sensor or something else within the fuel system?

Yes, same symptoms. It turned out to be the fuel pressure sensor. However, I recommend you take it to a workshop to confirm. A diagnostic scan will pinpoint the issue and confirm if it's the pressure sensor or perhaps something else causing similar issues.

Thank you very much for your advice! It proved to be spot on. I took it to a workshop, and after a diagnostic scan, they confirmed it was indeed the fuel pressure sensor. The cable connection was defective, just as I initially suspected. The repair cost me 95€ Appreciate your help!

I had a similar issue with my GLC check engine light and rough running. It could indeed be the pressure sensor. Has anyone checked the sensor itself, or just the connections? It's important to rule out a faulty sensor before chasing wiring issues. It does sound suspiciously like fuel system problems.
