Mercedes GLC Diesel Rear Ventilation Error
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Mercedes GLC diesel is experiencing a rear ventilation error, with the AC not cooling and an error memory fault. The issue is suspected to be related to the air circulation system, possibly due to a defective cable or plug. A flap actuator problem is suggested as a common cause, and it is recommended to use an OBD scanner to identify the fault code. Due to the complexity of accessing the flap actuator, taking the vehicle to a workshop for diagnostics and repair is advised.

I haven't used an OBD scanner. Can I visually inspect the flap actuator and its connections, or is it buried? Where would I find the flap actuator?

Inspecting the flap actuator and connections on a GLC is hard. They're behind the dashboard, so you need tools and knowledge to get to them. Given the complexity and AC issue, a workshop for diagnostics is safest. The 95€ repair cost sounds right for a bad connection. They can find the faulty flap actuator.

Thanks for the advice. You confirmed what I thought. I'll take it to a workshop. Hopefully, it's just a loose connection at the flap actuator.

The symptoms suggest a problem with a flap actuator. The error memory probably has a code pointing to the faulty part. A bad cable or plug is a common cause. Did you use an OBD scanner to get the fault code? Knowing the code will help find the faulty flap.
