Mercedes GLC Electric Seat Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Mercedes GLC owner reported an issue with the passenger electric seat not working, accompanied by a fault code in the error memory. Diagnostics pointed to a discharged or defective battery as a potential cause. Another owner with a similar issue suggested checking the seat harness and connections for loose or corroded parts. The recommendation was to seek professional help from a Mercedes technician to diagnose and resolve the problem, possibly involving battery replacement or addressing a faulty seat motor.

Thanks for the reply. When you had this issue, were there any strange noises from the seat motor before it failed completely? Did you try any troubleshooting before getting professional help?

I didn't hear any noises before my seat stopped working. I checked the fuses, but that's all. Since the error memory has a fault code and you've checked the battery, a qualified Mercedes technician is probably best. They can find the cause, like a bad seat motor. I paid around 300€ at the workshop, and they replaced my heavily discharged battery.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. It confirms I need a professional diagnosis. I'll make an appointment with a technician to investigate. The estimated repair is about 290€. Thanks again for the help.

I have a similar Mercedes and had a comparable power seat issue. Have you checked the seat harness and connections? A loose or corroded connection can cause failure. Are any other electrical components malfunctioning, or just the passenger seat?
