Revert to factory settings, huh I'm not sure how to do that, to be honest My scan tool is pretty basic What exactly was the fault code you were getting Maybe it's the same one And what did you end up doing to fix it

The precise fault code eludes my memory; however, the description alluded to inconsistencies within the engine control unit's programmed parameters Given the potential for complications, attempting a self-reversion to factory settings without specialized tools and knowledge could exacerbate the issue I would recommend seeking assistance from a qualified workshop with experience in Mercedes-Benz vehicle diagnostics and ECU recalibration

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of Sounds like I'm heading to the shop Just got the bill: 180€ to get it sorted Apparently, the chip tuning was the culprit, just like we thought They reflashed the ECU and it's running smooth again Appreciate the help

I understand your frustration I own a GLC as well and experienced similar symptoms The fault code you are observing may indeed stem from the aftermarket chip tuning Vehicle diagnostics indicated a compromised ECU calibration in my case Have you attempted to revert the ECU to its original factory settings or analyzed the specific fault code with a professional-grade scan tool
