Mercedes GLC Hybrid Stalling Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mercedes GLC hybrid was experiencing stalling at idle and a check engine light, with an OBD code indicating an idle air control issue. The problem was traced to a heavily contaminated air intake. Cleaning the air intake and replacing the idle air control valve resolved the stalling issue, resulting in smooth idling.

The air intake? What should I look for? Can I do it myself, or should I take it to a mechanic? What engine do you have?

My intake was heavily contaminated with gunk. If you're not comfortable dismantling things, a workshop is best for diagnosis. I have the same engine, the hybrid.

Thanks for the tip. The mechanic found a filthy air intake. They cleaned it, replaced the IAC valve, and the stalling is gone. It cost 425€, but the car idles smoothly now.

That sounds familiar. I had similar engine stalling and a check engine light with my GLC. Have you checked your air intake?
