Your situation sounds somewhat familiar I recall a similar predicament with my previous vehicle, a 2018 Volvo XC60 While the make and model differ, the symptoms you describe difficulty with remote locking unlocking and starting issues mirror what I experienced The root cause, as you suspect, may indeed lie within the antenna system Think of it like a garden hose if there's a kink or blockage, the water or in this case, the radio signal won't flow correctly Have you noticed any degradation in radio signal quality concurrent with these issues

Regarding the radio signal, I have not explicitly monitored it However, given the issue with the bumper antenna, and the error stored in the memory, could a defective cable or plug connection realistically affect the radio signal as well, or is it more likely an isolated system

In my experience, and thinking again of the garden hose analogy, a compromised connection can certainly impact the radio signal The antenna system is designed as a cohesive unit, and a break in one area can create signal interference throughout In the case of my Volvo, the defective connection caused significant radio reception problems Given that the antenna repair is estimated at 95€, it would be prudent to address this potential weak point in the system I would recommend consulting a qualified workshop for confirmation and antenna repair

I appreciate the advice and the analogy provided I have indeed proceeded to have the cable and plug connection of the bumper antenna addressed at a service center The antenna repair amounted to 95€ as initially estimated, and the issue is now resolved Thank you again for sharing your experience
