Thanks for the quick reply I haven't noticed any black smoke, to be honest I'll have to check the spark plugs, though I thought diesels didn't have them I don't really know much about cars If it is the injectors, is that something I can tackle myself, or am I better off taking it to a shop

My bad, forgot you said diesel, so no spark plugs My brain is fried today Yeah, injectors on a diesel can be a pain, especially getting them out if they're stuck You also need to code the new ones to the ECU Honestly, unless you've got some serious tools and experience, I'd take it to a workshop Messing with the fuel system can get messy and potentially cause more damage Best to let a professional diagnose it properly and get it fixed right the first time

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was a faulty injector They replaced it, and after labor, the total came to 515€ Runs like new again

Sounds frustrating I had a similar thing happen with my GLE, although it was a while back Symptoms sound spot on Did you notice any black smoke from the exhaust That's usually a dead giveaway for a rich mixture Also, have you checked your spark plugs They might be fouled up if it's running that rich I'd lean towards those injectors though, especially with the mileage you've got A clogged or leaky injector can definitely mess things up and ruin your fuel economy
