Mercedes GLE Engine Trouble

My 2020 Mercedes GLE with a gasoline engine is acting crazy It's got 167817 km on it and the engine is running really rough The check engine light is on there's an error code and it's jerking like mad when I try to speed up Could it be the crankshaft sensor or maybe the fuel injectors I'm worried it's the timing belt but I really have no clue

Rough idle and jerking could be a few things I had a similar issue with my GLE Have you checked for any exhaust leaks An engine misfire can cause those symptoms too The error code would be helpful to narrow it down

An exhaust leak Seriously I never would have thought of that Where exactly should I be looking for this leak And what does that have to do with engine misfire

Yeah exhaust leaks can mess things up Think of it like trying to run with a hole in your shoe - throws everything off balance The leak can affect the oxygen sensors which then messes with the fuel mixture and causes misfires If it's a big leak you might even hear it I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed

Thanks for the tip You were right it was a leak in the exhaust system Got it fixed for 265€ Runs like new now
