Mercedes GLE Hybrid alarm system issue

Has anyone experienced issues with the anti-theft alarm system on their 2020 Mercedes GLE Hybrid My car has an error stored indicating a fault, and the alarm system is non-functional. Diagnostics suggest the alarm system may be incorrectly coded to activate optical locking, causing the fault.

The alarm is not triggering randomly; it appears to be entirely disabled. The error message suggests a coding issue. Did your alarm system also fail completely, or was it merely a case of false alarms?

Mine was false alarms. The workshop said it was a software glitch. Best to get it checked out. Cost me 45€ to fix.
