Mercedes GLE Hybrid GPS Problem

Navigation issues on my 2019 Mercedes GLE Hybrid I am getting a 'No GPS reception' error on the navigation system. The error memory also stores a corresponding fault. I suspect a defective GPS antenna, has anyone experienced this? Estimate repair cost is around 200€. My GLE has 108901 km on it. Any insights on the GPS module or potential signal interference?

I had a similar problem with the car GPS on my Mercedes. Have you checked the connection to the GPS antenna? The GPS module might be the culprit. Before replacing the antenna, inspect the cable for any damage or corrosion. Is the vehicle GPS completely non-functional, or is it intermittent?

Thanks for the reply. I haven't checked the GPS antenna connection myself, as I'm not very experienced with car electronics. The car navigation is completely non-functional, no GPS signal at all. Could it really be just a bad connection? I was already mentally prepared to replace the GPS antenna.

A bad connection is possible, but given the complete lack of signal, a defective GPS antenna or GPS module is more likely. I'd advise having a workshop diagnose the issue properly. Replacing parts without confirming the root cause can get expensive quickly.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right, the GPS antenna was indeed defective. They replaced it, and the car navigation is working perfectly again. The final cost was indeed around 200€. Appreciate the help!
