Mercedes GLE Hybrid Oil Pressure Warning

Has anyone experienced an engine oil level error on a 2017 Mercedes GLE Hybrid? I'm getting an error message, the oil pressure warning lamp is on, and there's an error stored in the memory. The car has 227899 km on it. I suspect it might be the oil sensor.

I had a similar issue on my GLE. The symptoms sound identical: faulty oil level sensor signal, warning lights, the whole nine yards. The most likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection to the sensor.

Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you take it to a shop? Was it definitely just the cable?

Given the complexity, I'd advise taking it to a workshop. While it could just be the cable, a proper diagnostic check is essential to rule out other potential problems. My bill was around 95€ for the repair, so it's not too expensive. It's better to be safe when dealing with automotive oil.
