Mercedes GLK AdBlue Issue and Engine Won't Start
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mercedes GLK diesel is experiencing an issue where the dashboard indicates the AdBlue tank is empty, despite it being full, and the engine won't start. This problem is suspected to be related to the emissions control system, specifically the DEF fluid injection system. Possible causes include a defective AdBlue output to the dosing unit or a faulty pump. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a professional, as the issue was resolved by replacing the pump and clearing error codes.

Thanks for the reply I don't see any visible leaks When you say 'the AdBlue delivery system,' are you talking about the pump that sends the DEF fluid to the injection system Is there a way to test that without special tools

Yes, I meant the pump and all the lines Honestly, without proper diagnostic equipment, it's tough to pinpoint the exact cause In my case, it ended up being a faulty pump I'd recommend taking it to a workshop with someone who knows these systems well It could save you a lot of headache and wasted money The repair cost me around 250€

That sounds frustrating I had a similar issue with my Mercedes Same symptoms: dashboard alert, engine refusing to start It's likely the AdBlue delivery system Could be a faulty sensor or the pump itself Have you checked for any visible leaks around the tank or lines
