Thanks for the quick reply. Could you give me more details about where the amplifier is and what the connection issue was? Was it just a loose connector, or was there corrosion or damage?

Okay, so on mine, the amp was in the trunk, behind the trim on the left side. I just unplugged it, gave the connector a good look, and plugged it back in. Boom! Everything worked. I'd still get it checked in a workshop if I couldn't fix it, as it could be a more serious electrical problem.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. I will inspect the amplifier connections as you suggested. Given the potential complexity of the MOST bus network and the diagnostic error code, I will probably get a qualified technician to do a full check. Thanks again for your help.

Oh man, that sounds rough. I had a similar issue with my Mercedes. I don't remember the exact year, but it was a real pain. No sound, nav was dead, the whole shebang! Have you checked the connections to the amplifier? That was the culprit in my case. It's worth a shot before you start replacing control units!
