Mercedes GLK Diesel Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Mercedes GLK diesel is experiencing a low tire pressure warning, ABS light activation, vibrating steering wheel, and heavy steering. The core issue is identified as a tire losing air rapidly, potentially due to a defective valve. This defect can cause a slow leak, which the tire sensor detects, leading to a chain reaction affecting the ABS and steering systems. Replacing the faulty valve resolves the interconnected system issues, restoring normal function.

A defective valve? I hadn't considered that. But would a valve issue really cause the steering to go haywire and light up the ABS? Seems a bit extreme for just a slow leak.

Yeah, I know it seems crazy, but that's what happened to me. The system is more interconnected than you'd think. Better get it checked by a workshop. In my case, it was a faulty valve stem causing a slow leak and messing with all the systems. Cost me around 280€ to get it sorted.

Thanks for the heads-up! Dropped it off at the shop. Turns out you were spot on - valve was the culprit. New valve, all systems back to normal. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my GLK. The tire pressure warning, the weird steering... Check the valve in that tire closely. If it's defective, it can cause a slow leak that the tire sensor picks up, and mess with the ABS and power steering systems. It's like a domino effect.
