Mercedes GLK low battery situation

Thank you for your quick reply! I haven't checked the battery charging voltage with a multimeter yet, but that's a good idea. Where exactly should I measure, and what range should I be looking for to confirm the defective battery sensor?

You should measure directly at the battery terminals with the engine running. A healthy charging system typically shows a voltage between 13.5 and 14.5 volts. If it's significantly outside that range, it could indicate a problem with the alternator or the battery sensor itself. Given the error codes you are seeing, and if the voltage is not within the specified range, I would recommend taking it to a qualified workshop for further diagnosis. It is likely the battery sensor.

Thank you so much for confirming my suspicion and providing those voltage ranges. I'll check it out, but I think you're right, it's best to have a professional take a look. I really appreciate your help!

I had a similar low battery situation with my previous vehicle, a 2014 Opel Insignia. The symptoms you describe align with what I experienced. Did you check the battery charging voltage with a multimeter while the engine is running? What voltage are you seeing?
