Thanks for the insight I suspect the wiring harness too Was it a complete wire break or just a damaged connector on your Volvo Trying to figure out how much work this is Did it affect your car alarm

It was a complete wire break in the wiring harness The insulation failed and the conductor broke The issue didn't affect the car alarm Modern car electrical systems are complex and the door sensor affects multiple systems I suggest consulting a qualified technician to avoid complications during diagnosis and repairs I hope this helps

Appreciate the advice I took it to a workshop It was a defective cable/plug connection to the door sensor as I thought The repair cost was 95€ Thanks again for pointing me the right way
