Thanks for the reply You mentioned checking the pressure sensor connections Where exactly are they located I'm not very mechanically inclined, so specific areas to look for would be helpful Also, how did you eventually fix the issue on your Volvo

On my Volvo, the pressure sensor was located near the turbocharger, close to where the air intake connects However, I'm not familiar with the GLS's exact layout Given your symptoms and the potential for further engine damage, I would strongly suggest taking it to a reputable workshop for diagnosis It might be a simple fix, but you don't want to risk making things worse

Okay, thanks for the advice I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was a defective cable at the boost pressure sensor They replaced it, and now the car runs perfectly Cost me 95€ No more check engine light, jerking, or hissing I really appreciate your help

That sounds frustrating I had similar symptoms with my old Volvo, although it was a petrol engine The check engine light was on, and I experienced power loss The hissing sound makes me think about the air intake system Have you checked the pressure sensor connections around the intake manifold and turbocharger A loose plug can cause all sorts of problems
