Mercedes GLS Diesel Fuel Consumption Issue

My 2015 Mercedes GLS diesel is acting up I've noticed the fuel consumption is way higher than usual, and it's starting poorly sometimes I took a look and suspect the throttle valve might be the culprit The car only has 11648 km on it Could a defective accelerator pedal module be causing this Is this related to the air intake or the throttle position I'm wondering if throttle cleaning might help, or if it is the control valve, and what that means Has anyone dealt with this before

I understand you are experiencing difficulties with your Mercedes GLS A similar issue presented itself in my vehicle, although I am reticent to ascribe causality based on a single data point The elevated fuel consumption and starting difficulties do suggest a potential problem within the air intake or throttle system Have you observed any irregularities in the engine's idle speed or any instances of the engine stalling Furthermore, has the vehicle undergone any recent maintenance procedures that might have inadvertently affected the throttle valve or associated components

Idle speed seems normal, and it hasn't stalled, thankfully No recent maintenance either When you had a similar issue, was it definitely the throttle valve, or could it be something else What did you do to fix it

In my case, the diagnostic assessment indicated a malfunctioning throttle valve Considering the mileage of your vehicle and the symptoms you describe, it is plausible that the valve is indeed defective While throttle cleaning can sometimes provide a temporary amelioration, a replacement is often the definitive solution Given the potential for unforeseen complications, I would recommend consulting a qualified technician to conduct a comprehensive evaluation It is paramount to ensure that the replacement component is congruent with the vehicle's specifications to avert any adverse effects on its performance or emissions control systems

Thanks for the advice Took it to the workshop, and you were right It was the throttle valve New accelerator pedal module, cost me 205€ Runs like new now
