I checked the hoses visually but how can I be absolutely sure it's a vacuum leak Are there any tricks to pinpoint the exact location without tearing everything apart

Pinpointing a vacuum leak can be challenging without specialized equipment The hose connection from pump to valve is a very plausible cause In my case the problem was similar To avoid further complications I would recommend consulting a qualified workshop

It was exactly what I suspected a cracked hose causing a vacuum leak to the air valve I replaced it for 175€ and she's purring Check engine light's gone idle's smooth and no more stalling Thanks for confirming my suspicions

I understand your frustration I had a similar experience with my older Volvo The symptoms you describe strongly suggest a vacuum leak Have you inspected all the vacuum hoses thoroughly paying close attention to any cracks or brittleness
