Thanks. I'll check the brake lights. Can I easily check the speed sensor, throttle position sensor, and pedal switch myself, or do I need special equipment? If it's electrical, where should I check for a bad connection first?

You can visually inspect the brake lights, but checking the other sensors usually needs diagnostic equipment. For electrical issues, check the connections and wiring related to those components. Without the right tools, it's hard to pinpoint. Since there's an error code and you suspect a cable or plug, I'd recommend a workshop diagnosis. It might be a quick fix.

Thanks for the advice. The workshop confirmed a defective connection, like I thought. The repair was 95€, and the cruise control is working now. Thanks for your help.

Cruise control issues can be tricky. Are your brake lights working? A faulty brake light switch can disable cruise control. It could also be the speed sensor, throttle position sensor, or the pedal switch. Has the car had any recent work?
