Mercedes GLS Hybrid Electronic Issues

Has anyone experienced electronic issues with a 2023 Mercedes GLS hybrid? I'm getting sporadic errors, driving mode malfunctions, and audio/navigation failures with 208963 km on the clock. Control units seem to be shutting down temporarily. I suspect a faulty cable connection to the BUS system control module.

I have a GLS and had something similar happen. Sporadic errors and systems acting up. Did you notice if it happened more when it was wet or after a bumpy road? Did your scan tool give you any specific codes? Could be a loose connection somewhere.

Rain might have been a factor a few times, and the roads here aren't great. The scan tool shows communication errors between control modules, but nothing concrete, so I suspect a BUS system issue. Was your problem also intermittent, and did the malfunction indicator ever light up?

Yes, it was definitely intermittent. The malfunction indicator didn't come on for me either. A workshop found a corroded connection in the wiring harness related to the central control module. They cleaned it and secured it. Problem solved. I'd suggest letting professionals check it out. It could be a similar issue.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Knowing it was a corroded connection gives me a more focused direction for the workshop. My 'check engine' light is still off. They quoted me about 155€ to fix the cable connection of the control unit. I'm getting it sorted out this week.
