The battery is indeed the original one Regarding a 'load test' on the car battery, could you elaborate on the procedure or what specific values I should be looking for Also, no recent work has been performed on the vehicle that might affect the electrical system

A load test basically checks how well the battery holds up under stress Most auto parts stores will do it for free They'll put a load on the battery and see if the voltage drops too low, too fast If it fails, that's your answer Honestly, with those symptoms and the original battery, I'd just replace it But if you're unsure, take it to a workshop They can pinpoint the exact cause of the overvoltage and ensure the new battery is properly installed and coded to the car's system

I appreciate your guidance I heeded your advice and replaced the car battery The workshop confirmed that it was indeed heavily discharged and causing the overvoltage issues The circuit protection was kicking in due to the power surge The total repair cost, including the new battery and diagnostic check, came to 290€ All fault memory entries have been cleared, and the vehicle is now operating normally Thank you again for your time and expertise

Sounds like a dodgy battery Overvoltage errors pop up when things aren't getting the juice they expect First thing to check How old is the battery Get it load tested, even if it seems okay If it's original, it's probably on its way out Also, any recent work done on the car that might have messed with the electrical system
