Mercedes GT Roadster Anti Theft Alarm Problem

My 2021 Mercedes GT Roadster, hybrid engine, with 187130 km has an anti-theft alarm system malfunction. Error stored in the error memory, alarm system is non-functional. I suspect coding for optical locking indicators is the issue. Thoughts?

Hmm, sounds familiar. Had something similar happen with my older Volvo, though not a hybrid. The car alarm kept going off randomly, or sometimes not at all. Did you check the alarm sensor connections? Could be a loose wire or corrosion messing with the alarm control unit. I'm no expert but maybe that's something?

Which alarm sensor connections specifically gave you trouble on the Volvo? Any particular location or system I should focus on?

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure which sensor it was. The workshop guys sorted it out. I just remember them mentioning something about a faulty connection and some weird coding issue. Might be best to get it checked professionally. Cost me a bit but was worth it for peace of mind.

Appreciate the insight. Took it to the workshop. Turns out the anti-theft alarm was coded to activate the indicators which was causing the issue. Recoding resolved it. Total cost 45€. Thanks!
