Mercedes GT Roadster Heating Problem Resolved

My 2017 Mercedes GT Roadster with a Gasoline engine is acting up. The car heating is barely blowing warm air, and I've got some error codes related to the water valve. I'm thinking it might be the cable or plug connection, and the diagnostic also points in that direction. Has anyone dealt with something similar? I suspect it might be related to the engine coolant circulation, maybe a coolant leak somewhere causing a valve blockage. I just need heat, and don't want to deal with engine overheating

Sounds familiar. I had similar car heating issues with my old BMW. Error codes and low heat. Check engine coolant levels first. Could be low coolant leading to valve blockage.

When you had the issue on your BMW, was it a pain to diagnose? Did you check for coolant leaks yourself, or did you have to take it to a shop?

Yeah, it was a real headache. In my case, I suspected a coolant leak after topping off the engine coolant a few times, but couldn't find it myself. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They found a minor coolant leak near the thermostat housing. So, if you're seeing coolant levels drop, best take it in.

Thanks for the insight! I ended up taking it to my mechanic. Turns out, the water valve was indeed defective, as suspected. A quick replacement, costing around 95€, and the car heating is working perfectly again. Appreciate the help!
