Mercedes GT Roadster Hybrid fuel sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Mercedes GT Roadster Hybrid experienced a check engine light and engine stalling due to a fuel level sensor fault, with erratic fuel gauge behavior. The issue was likely caused by a faulty sensor or wiring. A certified workshop diagnosed the problem, identifying a defective fuse related to the fuel sensor. Replacing the fuse resolved both the sensor fault and the stalling issue.

Yes, the fuel gauge fluctuates erratically, even after a full refill. What specific steps did you undertake to resolve the sensor fault? Were there any other associated symptoms beyond the fuel gauge issue?

I did not attempt any repairs myself. The erratic fuel gauge and sensor fault prompted me to take my car to a certified workshop. They were able to diagnose and rectify the problem efficiently. Given your symptoms, that will likely be your best course of action.

I appreciate your advice. Following your recommendation, I consulted with a qualified technician. As it turned out, a fuse related to the fuel sensor was indeed defective. Replacing it resolved the sensor fault and the stalling issue. The repair cost was approximately 52€ Thank you again for your assistance.

I have a similar Mercedes GT Roadster. I had a similar fuel sensor issue, and the fuel gauge behaved erratically. Does your fuel gauge appear to be displaying an incorrect level? It could be a faulty sensor or wiring.
