I haven't observed any visible oil leak. Regarding oil sludge, I am uncertain how to properly assess that. Could you elaborate on where I should look and what constitutes oil sludge?

It's not always easy to spot. Sludge usually builds up under the oil filler cap or on the dipstick. If you're not sure, and the light's on, better have it checked by a workshop to prevent serious engine damage.

I took it to a certified Mercedes-Benz workshop. The diagnosis confirmed engine oil contamination due to the extended maintenance interval. The engine oil and filter were replaced, resolving the issue. The total repair cost was 165€.

I have a GT Roadster myself. Oil contamination can be a pain. Any sign of an oil leak? Or maybe even oil sludge when you checked?
