Mercedes M Klasse Engine Issues

My 2009 Mercedes M Klasse gasoline engine has a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, whistling and hissing noises, stalls at idle, increased fuel consumption, and reduced power. I suspect a faulty boost pressure sensor cable or plug. Any similar experiences with the turbo system or intake manifold, or the air intake?

That sounds rough! I had similar issues with my M Klasse. Check engine light, choking feeling when accelerating, and a weird hissing noise. For me, it was a loose hose connected to the intake manifold, throwing off the turbo system. Worth a quick look before tearing things apart.

Thanks for the response. Could you elaborate on the specific location of the hose you are referring to? Was the hissing noise constant, or only present during acceleration?

It was a while ago, so I don't remember the exact location. The hissing was pretty noticeable most of the time, especially when accelerating. I'd take it to a workshop to check the pressure sensor and hoses around the intake manifold to be safe.

I consulted a mechanic who confirmed a faulty boost pressure sensor, specifically a defective cable connection as suspected. The repair cost 95€ including parts and labor. Thanks; your experience was helpful.
