Interesting! So, what exactly was the problem you had? And where exactly should I be looking for the faulty vacuum hoses? Any specifics would be super helpful. I'm trying to avoid taking it to a shop if I can fix it myself.

Okay, so I'm no mechanic, just a regular guy. Honestly, I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They told me it was indeed a defective hose connection from the pump to the valve! It was causing air to leak and messing with the engine. Check engine light was the first sign. Just get it checked, it's better than causing more damage.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on! It was exactly the defective hose connection from the pump to the valve, just as suspected. Repair cost was 175€. Runs like a dream now!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I also drive an M Klasse (though I can't remember the exact year right now), and I had a similar issue last year. Check engine light plus weird idling. I remember reading something about throttle body problems too. Did you notice any difference when accelerating? I was really worried about vacuum hoses at first, but it turned out to be something simpler, I hope it's the same for you.
