Mercedes ML ABS light and stability error
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mercedes ML diesel is experiencing an ABS light and 'Vehicle Stability' error, with a diagnostic scan indicating a faulty lateral acceleration sensor. The error memory is filled with related codes, raising concerns about the Electronic Stability system. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the control unit, which was confirmed as the cause and cost around 1000€. The suggested solution is to have the control unit checked and potentially replaced by a workshop.

Was it definitely the control unit? How much did that cost? I'm seeing estimates around 1000€ to fix this lateral sensor. Just trying to figure out how bad this is.

Yeah, pretty sure it was. If I remember correctly, they replaced the control unit. Best take it to a workshop to be sure. Good luck.

Thanks for the input! It was the control unit, like you said. Cost me around 1000€, so your estimate was spot on. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem on my ML. Same symptoms, ABS light and all. Lateral sensor fault too, I think. It could be a control unit issue.
