Mercedes ML ABS light and stability error

My 2013 Mercedes ML diesel has an ABS light and 'Vehicle Stability' error. The diagnostic scan says it's a faulty lateral acceleration sensor. Has anyone else seen this? The error memory is full of related codes. Is it likely the sensor? I'm concerned about the Electronic Stability and this safety warning.

I had a similar problem on my ML. Same symptoms, ABS light and all. Lateral sensor fault too, I think. It could be a control unit issue.

Was it definitely the control unit? How much did that cost? I'm seeing estimates around 1000€ to fix this lateral sensor. Just trying to figure out how bad this is.

Yeah, pretty sure it was. If I remember correctly, they replaced the control unit. Best take it to a workshop to be sure. Good luck.
