Coolant level is good. Wiring seems fine after a quick look. Regarding the ventilation system, are you referring to the blower motor or something else related to the auxiliary heater's ventilation?

Yes, the blower motor and its controls. Anything that signals the system to move air. If the climate control module is malfunctioning, it might stop the auxiliary heater from starting. But if you're getting error codes and suspect the glow plug, and you've checked the basics, get it properly diagnosed. It could save money. Someone with the right tools might be needed.

I appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was a defective glow plug. It cost 440€ to replace, but the auxiliary heater is working now. Thanks for the help!

Glow plug is a likely cause, but also inspect the wiring and coolant level. A coolant leak can interfere with the auxiliary heater because they are often connected to prevent overheating. Is the ventilation system functioning correctly? A fault there can trigger errors with the climate control system.
