Hey, thanks for the quick reply! That sounds reassuring. Do you remember how much you paid for the repair back then? And were there any further problems afterwards or was everything back to normal?

Hey, no problem, you're welcome! Well, I paid exactly €1520 for the repair back then. But that was it, the boost pressure regulator was basically the heart of the problem. Since the mechanic repaired the boost pressure regulator electrically, everything has been running great again. No black smoke, no rough idling and, above all, no constant stalling. So after the boost pressure regulator was fixed, everything was really back to normal! Hope this helps you and that your car will soon be running smoothly again!

Oh, that's a relief to hear. 1520 seems like a fair amount if it solves the problem completely. Thanks for sharing your experience! I will get my car in for a check up asap and hopefully everything will go just as smoothly. Your information was really helpful. Thanks again!

Hey, I can understand exactly what you mean. Had a similar problem with my 2007 Mercedes GLK class and it turned out to actually be the boost controller that was electrically faulty. After watching my car spit out black smoke when accelerating and constantly stalling at idle, I knew something was wrong. The boost pressure controller is a serious issue. On my last visit to the garage, they had to remove the faulty boost pressure actuator and replace it with a new one. After that, my car ran like clockwork again. So cheer up, it can be done! If you think it might be the same problem, get it checked as soon as possible. You don't want to risk the engine failing completely. Hope this helps you!
