Mercedes ML Diesel Blower Motor Issue Resolved
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Mercedes ML diesel experienced a blower motor failure, with a mechanic identifying a potential AUC sensor fault due to a defective cable or connection. The issue could cause the climate control system to shut down the blower motor. It was suggested to check the wiring and connectors for loose connections, but due to the complexity, professional assistance was recommended. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing the air quality sensor cable, restoring the blower motor's functionality.

Thanks! I don't have the error code. I'll call the mechanic. Is checking the wiring something I can do myself, or should I take it back to the shop? I'm not very experienced.

If you're not comfortable with electrical work, take it back. Faulty wiring can be tricky. If you want to try, inspect the connector for damage or corrosion. Without the error code and tools, a shop is better. They can find the issue and give an estimate.

Okay, thanks. The shop confirmed it was the air quality sensor cable. They replaced it for 95€ and the blower motor is working. Thanks for the help!

The AUC sensor fault could be the problem. The climate control system might shut down the blower motor. Is the air conditioning sensor showing errors? Check the wiring and connectors first. Loose connections are common. Do you know the error code?
