Mercedes ML hybrid combustion misfires diagnosis
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Mercedes ML hybrid is experiencing combustion misfires, leading to rough engine running, check engine light activation, jerking during acceleration, and reduced engine power. Diagnostics suggest a defective injection valve or injector, with a cylinder misfire suspected, while the ignition coil appears functional. Despite checking the fuel injector harness and vacuum integrity, and using a fuel injector cleaner, the issue persists. A workshop visit confirmed a defective fuel injector on cylinder four, and its replacement resolved the problem.

The harness appears intact Vacuum integrity tests passed Fuel injector cleaner yielded no improvement Could a faulty sensor mimic these symptoms perhaps compromising fuel mixture

A sensor issue is possible but less likely given the misfire code It's pointing pretty directly at a fuel injector problem Given the diagnostic work you've already done would you agree a workshop visit for injector replacement and a proper diagnosis is warranted

Your assessment aligns with my conclusion Workshop confirmed a defective fuel injector on cylinder four Replacement priced at 515€ rectified the issue Thank you for your counsel

Rough idle and jerking point to fuel delivery Did you check the fuel injector harness for loose connections It could also be a vacuum leak affecting throttle response Have you tried any fuel injector cleaner
