Mercedes ML Hybrid NOx Sensor Issue

My 2010 Mercedes ML hybrid with 160418 km has a check engine light on, and diagnostics show a NOx sensor fault. I also hear what sounds like an exhaust leak. I'm wondering if a bad cable or plug could cause this and affect the air-fuel ratio and pollution control? The repair is estimated at 95€.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar check engine problem with my old Audi. Different engine, but it was a bad sensor connection. Is the diesel engine running rough?

The diesel engine seems fine, but I'm worried about nitrogen oxide emissions and potential damage to other parts. What symptoms did you have with your car?

Mine was running fine too, just the light and the error code. I wouldn't worry too much, but I'd have it checked at a workshop soon to be safe.

I inspected the connections and found a loose plug. I secured it, and the error is gone, and the check engine light is off. Thanks for the help.
