Mercedes ML Hybrid Oil Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2010 Mercedes ML Hybrid. It has 44709 km. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer about the oil level sensor. The error is stored, and the oil pressure light is on. I think it's a bad oil sensor signal. Could a bad cable or plug be the problem?

Summary of the thread

A 2010 Mercedes ML Hybrid with 44,709 km displayed an error message related to the oil level sensor, accompanied by an oil pressure warning light. The issue was suspected to be a faulty oil sensor signal, potentially caused by a bad cable or plug connection. After checking the connections and confirming the sensor was faulty, it was replaced, resolving the issue and turning off the warning light.

Sounds like a sensor issue. Have you checked the connection to the sensor? Sometimes they get loose or corroded.

Thanks for the suggestion. Where is the oil level sensor located? I want to check the connections.

I'm no expert, but usually it's on the oil pan. If you see corrosion, clean it up well. If that doesn't fix it, you might need to take it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. The diagnosis confirmed a faulty sensor. After replacing it, the repair was 95€. The warning light is now off.
