Where is the fuse located, and which one am I looking for? Is it related to the radiator blockage or something else?

I do not recall the exact fuse number, but look in your owner's manual for a diagram. If the fuse is blown, it could be stopping the radiator grille from opening or closing correctly, which would affect the engine temperature.

Thank you. It was a blown fuse, as you suggested. Replacing it cost 52€. Everything seems to be working now. I appreciate the help.

That sounds familiar. My ML had similar symptoms. The thermal management was all over the place. I would check the fuses first. A bad fuse can affect the radiator grille and cooling system. It's worth checking before going to a mechanic.
