Mercedes R Klasse AdBlue Issues

My 2014 Mercedes R Klasse diesel is acting up The dashboard alert says the AdBlue tank is empty, but I filled it recently Now it won't start I scanned the error memory and it confirms the AdBlue issue It sounds like the DEF fluid isn't making its way from the tank to the dosing unit Has anyone else seen this emissions control problem I'm expecting around 250€ for the repair This emission standards stuff is annoying

I had a similar issue with my R Klasse The problem was the AdBlue delivery system Have you confirmed the pump is functioning Also, is there any visible leakage around the tank or lines

Good to know I'm not alone No visible leaks that I could find, and I can't hear the pump running when I turn the ignition on Is there any way to easily test the pump, or is it buried somewhere impossible to reach

On my vehicle, accessing the pump required specialized tools and diagnostic equipment Given your description, it aligns with my experience I would recommend a professional diagnosis to prevent further complications with the diesel exhaust system

Thanks for the advice I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on It was indeed the AdBlue pump They replaced it, cleared the error codes, and now it's running perfectly At least the dashboard alert is gone
