Mercedes R Klasse Diesel No Start

My 2013 Mercedes R Klasse diesel won't start It has 264765 km on it I'm getting some kind of engine control malfunction No start at all I'm thinking it might be dodgy battery cable connections Could that cause an ECU issue or something No engine surge just nothing The check engine light is on too Any ideas

Could be the battery connections, yeah. Check they're clean and tight. Otherwise, an ECU failure can cause a no-start. Has fuel injection been checked?

Fuel injection hasn't been checked yet. How would I go about checking the fuel injection system? Is that something I could do myself, or am I better off taking it somewhere?

Checking the fuel injection yourself can be tricky without the right tools. If cleaning the battery connections doesn't fix it, you're probably best off taking it to a workshop. Sounds like it could be a bigger ECU issue.

Thanks for the advice. Cleaned the battery connections like you said and still nothing. Took it to a workshop. Turns out the cable connections of the battery were indeed not good, even though they looked ok. They cleaned everything up and it's starting fine now. Cost me 155€!
