Mercedes R Klasse Diesel Oil Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Mercedes R Klasse diesel was experiencing error messages related to a faulty oil level sensor and intermittent oil pressure warnings. The issue was suspected to be a faulty sensor or a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with a mechanic, it was found that the problem was due to a corroded connector on the oil level sensor, which was resolved by cleaning and replacing a section of the cable.

Thanks for the quick reply I haven't pulled the sensor out completely yet Where exactly was the sensor located on your Corsa And how did you figure out it was the problem

On the Corsa it was near the oil filter Honestly I didn't figure it out myself I took it to a workshop and they diagnosed it pretty quickly Given all the warnings you're getting it might be worth getting it checked professionally Save yourself some headache

You were right Took it to a local mechanic and it turned out to be a corroded connector on the oil level sensor They cleaned it up replaced a small section of the cable and the errors are gone The entire repair including diagnosis cost around 95€ Thanks for the advice

Sounds familiar I had a similar oil signal problem with my old Vauxhall Corsa a few years back Kept getting a warning light Did you check the sensor itself for any visible damage or corrosion
