Mercedes R Klasse sound system problem

My 2015 Mercedes R Klasse with a gasoline engine, which has faithfully clocked 208605 km, has suddenly gone silent. The sound system is completely dead – no radio, no USB audio, nothing! I even tried to connect via Bluetooth, and it pairs fine, but there's still absolutely no sound output. I'm suspecting it might be related to the car speakers, perhaps a blown fuse or something more sinister with the amplifier. Has anyone experienced a similar sound system issue? I am worried about the sound quality if I go to third party speakers. Any thoughts or suggestions before I take it to the mechanic and potentially face a hefty bill?

I have a similar Mercedes R Klasse. I once had a comparable problem. It was a defective bass speaker.
